Stephen, spent the first 26 years of his career in the Royal Australian Navy in a variety of sea and shore postings, but primarily in Destroyers. He progressed through every rank and was widely decorated and commended throughout his career, including being awarded the Conspicuous Service Medal (CSM) in the 1999 Australia Day Honours. 

Since leaving the Navy in 2004 as a Warrant Officer, Stephen has applied his expertise in improving business processes and solutions to several leadership roles. He worked at the Ground Transport Manager for Sydney Airport Corporation Limited, before moving into an industry association as Deputy CEO for the NSW Taxi Industry Association. He then worked as the Group General Manager for Southern Cross Group before joining Ozland Group Solutions and Sydney Security in 2018.

Mr. Canov began his career in the security industry in May 2010 as a security guard while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business and information technology. With a passion for law enforcement and a vision of becoming a police officer, he started his own security company, Security One 2 One, in 2012. In just a few short years, the company experienced significant growth and became a national security company.

He holds a Certificate IV in Security Risk Management and a Security Trainer’s license, adding to his expertise in the industry. To continually improve, he also established One 2 One Services Registered Training Organisation (RTO), offering a Diploma of Business to train future leaders in the security industry. With a decade of success under his belt, Mr.  Canov’s journey from security guard to business owner is truly inspiring.
